Brookline Police on the Hunt for Armed Robbery Suspect

Police in Brookline are on the trail of an armed robbery suspect who was reported to have held up a convenience store at gunpoint and ran off with more than $3,000 over the weekend.

A cashier at One Stop Market on Cypress Street was robbed shortly before 8:30 p.m. on Saturday.

According to the Brookline Police Department, the suspect allegedly brandished a semi-automatic firearm, aimed it at the cashier, and demanded that he hand over all of the money in the cash register.

The suspect fled the store on foot with a bag containing about $3,500, according to police.

The suspect is described as a 5'11" black male of medium build. He was wearing the following articles of clothing:

  • A black face mask
  • A black hooded sweatshirt with a Nike logo on the upper left chest
  • Black pants
  • Dark-colored sneakers with a white Nike logo
  • A dark-colored backpack
  • A black baseball hat with a yellow brim and yellow circular logo.

The robbery came only moments after police received word that a wallet was stolen around 8 p.m at Longwood T Station.

It is unclear if the two crimes are related. Police are investigating both cases.
