Armed robber slashes employee at Boylston Apple Store, escapes on foot

An armed man robbed the Apple store at 815 Boylston Street Thursday evening at around 6:30 p.m., stealing headphones and injuring at least one employee on his way out.

The suspect made off with multiple Beats headphones and slashed at an Apple store worker who tried to intervene, Boston police spokesman David Estrada said.

The employee sustained a minor hand injury.

The suspect, who remains at large after fleeing in the direction of Massachusetts Avenue, is described as being:

  • Male, early 20s
  • 6' tall, muscular build
  • Wearing a black vest, a blue shirt, a black fanny pack, blue denim shorts, and blue sneakers
